I have just recently accepted a job in Bingen, WA. I will be moving down to the area by November 15th. My girlfriend will be coming down as soon as she can find gainful employment...I have been flying a trainer kite and a buddy of mine took me out a few times and gave me a some kiteboarding gear before he left. i really love kiteboarding and hopefully after i get some lessons i will be riding daily.
My dilemma is that i have no where too live. I don't want to spend too much for a rental as i will most likely be buying a house within a year of living there. Does anyone know of a good place to look for rentals/apartments within 50 minutes of Bingen?
Thanks for any help! |

try gorge.net/classifieds - lots of rentals right now.
post a rental wanted.

Maybe edit your post to specify exactly what you want - # of bedrooms and how much you wish to pay. |

Make sure you get something with a year lease. A lot of places want to give you the boot in May. |

Hood River is regulating short term rental. However, this guy is looking for a long term rental. |

Good luck not spending a bunch on a rental. The place has really gotten crowded the last few years. We even have rush hour traffic in white salmon. |

Oh yeah you want to live close as possible to bingen or to the east. Highway 84 at cascade locks can get very icy. You don't really want to drive that daily. The freeway towards the dalles is usually better. Also a Subaru with snow tires make life much simpler. Or at least studs on front wheel drive car. |

Keep in mind that Washington does not have a state income tax, Oregon does.
Save on that bridge toll, too, if you can find a place in White Salmon, Bingen, Lyle, or Underwood. Anything on the Washington side, where it's sunny. _________________ Pull the cork. |
