Hey guys, just wanted to send out some feelers to see what people think about this.

I know other areas around the world do this, but what are some thoughts on having a downwinder fully catered on the coast? i.e, transportation, safety, the whole 9 yards - You just show up and the experience is taken care of, all you do is have a blast and shred the waves - legit waves at that, big or small. A big part of it would be helping out people who are nervous about going into the ocean / it's there first time. And how much would you be realistically willing to pay for something like this?

Any thoughts would be helpful!

Cheers,

~ Floras Lake crew

Well since you set a price point I would say 129.00-149.99 depending on lengthy and other factors with an extra lap surcharge Smile!

Where is the location that you think would work for this epic downwinder?

$200. IN.
Met some folks on a 350 mile dw'er in Iterema, Northest Brazil. Catered, expert on the water guides, 2 each 4X4 top end Suburbans following on the beach. Nice.

Speculation here, but South of Bandon (face rock or thereabouts) to Floras Lake. 20 miles.

I might be interested. Probably $100/day if camping was included.

Hi Liz,

I'd be interested for $150-200-ish.

What do you guys have in mind as far as "safety"? The lads/dad doing sweeps with the ski? Or keeping a lookout on the beach? Just curious...

And can we do this in the winter, with S winds, and big lefts? Smile

Take my money, please!

Price point would depend on what is offered but $200 seems doable.

I would probably think somewhere between $69 and $420 would be reasonable. I would pay $69 for a simple drop off and pick up with a guide or $420 for a guided downwinder where my kite was rigged for me, meals, beers, and a sharkbanz where all provided as well as possible GoPro or drone footage was a part of the package as well.

Catered downwinder....heck hard to put a price on that kind of thing; kind of priceless I'd say. But I'm waiting for the virtual experience, where I don't even have to leave my couch and I can eat my twinkies as I do an almost "lifelike" back roll with a twist, I'd pay double for that!!

Drone footage with a edited video and comments on my kiting. I'd pay more than $420.
