Sun Jan 31, 16 8:53 am Favorite Mako King 150 setup for Gorge and coast? |

Just got ahold of a new leftover 2015 and was envisioning using this board to do some mellow twintip style upwind tacking and downwind swell and wave carving. Obviously in the Gorge, whether it be in the river or downwinding at the coast, I do not want to compromise carving ability for upwind ability. Not that worried about upwind performance. My questions would be, do I set up the pads and straps slightly towards the back of the board? Do I mount the pads and straps in the usual twintip splayed out duck mode or more like a snowboard or strapped surfboard? Lastly, how do you prefer your fin configuration? Since it only came with two, I was thinking of setting it up like a twin fin. Thanks! |

i like mine setup up twin tip style, then i can carve heel to toe on both sides. these boards carve really well but you need to keep your weight balanced more on both feet as opposed to a standard twin tip. |

I ride the 150 twin tip style. The King I ride strapless with three fins setup or.
I ride the 150 everywhere in the gorge from Boardman to Jones and all over the coast as well as back home in AK and I take it when traveling. _________________ "I have often regretted my speech, never my silence" ~Xenocrates
