|
|
First time having a slingshot pump. I took it apart to do the usual oiling, cleaning etc and seemed to have F'd it up. It wasn't workinmg great before hand but now its for sure not pumping on the upward pull . Does this mean the seal at top near the plunger is damaged? What else could I be doing wrong? |

at the bottom of the shaft is the pump mechanism.
there should be 2 rubber plugs on the pump mechanism. they are about the size of a nickel.
they are designed to open and close as you pump.
sounds like one of them came loose or is missing?
this happened to all my slingshot pumps over time. they're not as good as some of the others. |

Thanks for the reply . Checked and everything is present so I assume a valve is broken. |

Check the gauge also. I think there is a little one-way valve on that. Just for yucks, try the pump with the gauge or hose disconnected. |

Get a raft pump from someone like NRS. Mine is 28 years old and still works like new. Plus its taller so its way more comfortable to use. _________________ Ozone Reo's. C&k Beach Boy Service, Windsurfing Waikiki, Hawaiian Windriders, NSRN. |
