A while back I had an app on my iphone and a computer link to the site that predicted wind direction and speed using directional arrows (vectors) that flowed and color bands. You could predict several days out. It was free. I found it very useful for coastal wind. It's gone from my phone and I can't recall what it was called. Not having any luck on the webs.

Thx,
Eric

Wind finder app has a page with arrows and bands that can be moved back 12hrs and forward 10 days. FYI The paid app has a 3 day super forcast that is way better than the free app.

north coast - http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/total_forecast/getprod.php?wfo=pqr&pil=CWF&sid=PQR

south coast - http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/mfr/TextProduct.php?wfo=mfr&pil=CWF&sid=MFR

NOAA not very good at predicting if N wind will come onto shore, or be held off by easterly gradient with me on the beach seeing whitecaps 1/2 mile out.

I use a Weatherflow app called Wind Alert. This app has what you are looking for. To find it, open the side bar menu (the 3 horizontal line icon in the upper-left) and click on 'Forecast Maps'.

WindAlert, iKiteSurf, iWindSurf, SailFlow are all the same. If you pay for one you have access to all.
