At Fort Stevens its the Bull Seals you want to be afraid of. They are intelligent, hungry and mean and will happily tear your balls off. Don't fall in the break and don't let them get near your chicken loop.

If they pop your safety they will take you.

Haha I'm coming from hood for a day trip. Heading out there and waiting for the wind to turn on at its usual time in the afternoon, standard procedure.

Just snagged some time off the point tonight..between C and D.
Should be better tomorrow afternoon, get that outgoing tide to work with you.

13 at Manzo at noon. ramping up to 25 or 30 by 3 I'd bet. Smallish 4' waves perfect for twin tip boosting

I Showed up too early I guess, still learning how to predict conditions out here cuz I've only been living out here for less than a month (I would be completely lost without Temira and the "forecast" section here). Wind was offshore when I showed up and I was alone so I just went elsewhere to kite. Might try the coast or Ft.Stevens again tomorrow if others are going, just don't want to kite alone in a new place.

Thanks for pointing out that the spot is between C and D. Took a quick look from D and spotted where I should have parked and went to check it out.

Did anyone kite Fort Stevens/Shipwreck today? How were the conditions? I was at Manzanita today. It was pretty good 8 m conditions however it was a little choppy.

DUDE. Ft. Stevens is "workin' man's wind". Meaning it usually it doesn't start blowing till mid afternoon at best. If your kiting N/NW wind before noon then it is going to be a long day of wind.

If your going crazy for a session at 4:30 pm at lot b while wondering if you f'ed yourself for the day with no kite session (and why you didn't go to Manzo instead) and your blood pressure is high, then the wind might blow. . .you left way too early the other day.
