Thanks Serge.

The FX is great, have you had a chance to try one yet?

It looks like a double backroll with a kiteloop to me, not a downloop.

I thought it was called a downloop if you landed it with the kite at the bottom of the loop. Maybe my trick terminology is off.

call it whatever you want, its fun! Smile

No criticism intended, it's a great move I love to do also. I was just curious to see the frontloop variation.
I guess there is some difference in definition of terms commonly used. I've always used downloop for a loop forward in the direction of travel and a kiteloop reverses the kite direction. Years ago some people called a kiteloop a loop either direction that was initiated on the way up and a downloop any loop initiated after starting to descend.

nice riding,

true about the terminology being off, not that it matters much but:

downloops are initiated with front hand, kite turned down first then looped back through powerzone, those are regular kiteloops swinging the kite upwards first then around through powerzone

great post

Sweet move!

The double backroll kiteloop actually makes for a sweet transition move also, adding flair to a single backroll kiteloop transition like CJ threw at the beginning of the clip. Why do a regular boring transition when you can add a little pizazz to it?

@Winstoked and @Downstream: thanks for the clarification on the downloop terminology!
Also throwing a backflip instead of a backroll at the transition point makes for a fun variation... Not sure what it is called when you do it, but it's actually not that difficult.

@CJ - barely tried the FX for 20 min in marginal conditions. Not enough to form an opinion.
