Brilliant 3 to model after. Between sweet base jump in #1, the machine guns and the huge bouncy ball in #2, and the really weird/creepy intro that took place in #3 I think you got your film.
How did I spend 24 minutes watching a weird ski/snowboard video from 83? Crazy. |

I remember watching Apocalypse Snow back in 1987 or so. It got played at one of our high school assemblies back in Utah and I've loved it since. Kind of a cult classic. Can't beat mono boarders & vintage Winterstick!!
So here's my idea:
Dude climbing up Mt Hood, just crests the Old Chute… and his phone chimes that there is wind on the river. Time to windsurf. Takes his skis off his back, clips in and skis off the top pulling a huge 360 over the hogsback. I know some of you saw that big booter up there this summer!!!
Meanwhile, 10 kiters rise from the sandbar as if they live in the river (see #3 vid). They're all hooked in and all 10 launch within just a few seconds…and start tearing up the river. After some awesome kiting, the windsurfer dude shows up and wants the whole river to himself… maybe at the Hatch… think about 10 kiters or more chasing a windsurfer between Swell City and the Hatch maybe in the busy season. It would be epic.
Anyway that could be the start. We could submit it to the Mt Hood film festival next year. |
