The Bridge of the Gods kiteboarding festival will happen this weekend in Stevenson, WA. Best Kiteboarding and Vela Kitesurf Resorts are title sponsors and 46 other companies have put in to make the biggest prize pool the event has ever seen! Pros will compete on Friday, Amateurs on Saturday. If the weather allows, the Blowout will happen on Sunday WITH WINDSURFERS!!!! If the weather doesn't hold, the Blowout will be rescheduled for next weekend. For more information: botgkitefest.com. See everyone there!!!!

This is the GPS track of a practice lap from last weekend. Fished in 1:11.

Blowout masters, do you see anything we could change to shave off more time? It doesn't seem possible to get it down to 45 minutes!

Very Cool.

You just need to go dead downwind on water skis with no jibing.

Hey Grom,
I want to see the pros do their thing on Friday in the Finals. What time should I be there?

here is a link to the BOTG website. I'm sure it's weather dependant so keep checking nwkite for any changes/updates.
if you only want to see the finals, that will be difficult to predict. wind conditions and number of heats will be a factor. earliest start time will be noon, so I'm thinking around 5 would be final heat but that is just a guess.

The finals could happen anytime between 3 and 6:30 pm.

ALSO BRING A SKATEBOARD. Best way to get around.

Skies cleared in Stevie tonight and forecast looks good for kiting this weekend. Beer has been delivered, tents are set up, prizes and swag are ready so its a go for the weekend!
