Very very cool and solves indeed a real problem: quicker assembly of board when traveling. Not a huge time savings (5 min at best) compared to the duration of a session but still very cool.

I will definitively pledge in support of this kickstarter project!

A lot of people never remove their fins. So for travel sure, I had my screw driver confiscated by the TSA because I had it in my back pack.

BUT the possibilities of riding swell with fins, coming to the sandbar, removing fins with kite still flying and then riding butter & features all in one session. I think some folks would appreciate that?

Thank you everyone for the support.

Having fins so you can do freestyle in the chop, and then being able to remove your fins so you can shred the sliders, without even landing your kite... Mega stoked for that.

A lot of kite fins use 10-24 screws to attain a thinner foil.

Do you have plans for and have you tested with these?

Looks like a great idea, but my initial hesitation in supporting this is the 1/4-20 standard which is now a bit dated and doesn't represent all boards/fins.

We have received our first licensing inquiry. We are very excited about this. Jim is working on the prototypes. We have to get the product into the Pro Riders hands to water test and bomb proof. Failure on the final product is not acceptable.

We will be at the Windance swap meet April 27th. Look for the feather flag, come say hello and snap a Quikfin.

Thank you Dave Nunn for your generosity in helping our little startup.

We have already met some great people. We are not a sell you some crap out of the back of a van company and disappear. We are going to do it right or not at all. We will live and kite in this NW Kite community with respect and thankfulness.

Stringy has built a more real prototype. The plan is to get some prototypes into the pros hands to bomb test.

We will not produce a kook item.

Thank you everyone for the encouragement.

Come say hello at the Windance swap meet.

PostSat Apr 12, 14 5:15 am    *Weekly update* Reply with quote

**SATURDAY UPDATE** we will try to have weekly updates. We all have real day jobs, so we do our best to keep you informed. Its been 2 weeks since we launched. Our business has been formed, shares, titles, responsibilities all of the real business stuff. Team member Jim Stringfellow is building prototypes, in black per pro rider request. We will ask the pro riders to test our Quikfin so we can make any adjustments to the design prior to tooling. We have early talks regarding licensing Quikfin to individual board companies. We need your support, we can not do this with out you. Have a great day !

Please come say hello at the Windance Swap Meet April 27th. Thank you Dave Nunn for hosting this. We feel this is a perfect place for our grass roots effort.

any chance you could add something for popping different bindings on and off? During the summer between river and ocean, I go back and forth on needing booties and then of course having to adjust my bindings. I really hate having to mess with the bindings too. Plus, being able to take your bindings and fins on and off quickly and easily would sure make it easy to store boards in the garage, on the rack, and in the bag.

We have visions and ideas. We have a really cool team put together. Our first goal is to get the working prototype Quikfins into the Pro's hands to bomb test these. Once we can all agree we have a working product we will license them to interested board companies and start design on our next product.

Thank you ! Hope to see you Sunday

Quikfin

After a little business meeting at Moon Shine manufacturing we hit the local kite beach. Here is Stringy working the crowds explaining the sick features & benefits of Quikfin.

Marcus was so stoked on the hookup, we can't wait to get his wakestyle rider feedback.

We will make friends for life , regardless of what Quikfin does. It is not our intention to sell these out of the back of a van and disappear to Florida and start up some kook kite company.

Thank you for the positive vibe and support everywhere we go. We are truly thankful for all the cool people we have met.

The Quikfin lid-on-the-kid has made him lucky with the finned population lately; caught his first salmon, and a handful of nonretention sturgeon this week with the hat welded to his head.

Thank you so much for posting that!

Regardless of what becomes with Quikfin , we hope you will all will see we are legit , honest , straight forward and willing to work hard for this company.

Stay tuned for some more hats, we are still working on a limited budget, everything has came out of our pockets. We have not sold a single item.

Respect !

We will have up to 5 sets of Quikfins in Hatteras for Pro Rider testing during the Triple S event. Will the Quikfin be spotted in action during the wave freestyle comp?

We are open to negotiating with kiteboard / wakeboard companies for licensing. We will NOT be selling these out of the back of a van at kite beach.

It has been very fun , we have meet a lot of cool industry people. Our intentions are sincere , make product that people love and to make friends.

Thank you !
