Forrest,

Nice work! Drove by yesterday and checked out all the features. When are you guys going to start placing them out on the water? Would love to start getting my photog on this week.

Hey Forrest ,
Any chance you can have them drop the water level a bit ? Its going to be nearly impossible to shoot this event with the water this high.

Let me know your thoughts,

Thanks, enrique

Just in case Forrest is busy getting ready for the event and not able to respond to this. The Slider Crew has been working diligently trying to get the water level down. They have been in contact with the Army Corp of Engineers. The problem is there is too much water coming down the river to simply lower the water level. However it does look like the water level is coming down. With any luck we will have a decent amount of the sandbar for the weekend.

Cheers!

Just an fyi that the slider project has hired a media crew that will be taking care of all media duties. Do not be surprised if you are asked to move or put your camera away if you are in the way of the hired media crew.

Just wanted to let everyone know about the Photography/Videography situation
at the 2011 RoShamThrowdown. We don't mind if you shoot photos for personal use, but we've put together a crack team of photographers and videographers to document the event. We're going to be putting together a full length video which will be given away for free. Also, we're going to be releasing photographs to the magazines, vendors, etc to help support the event and its sponsors.

If you really want to shoot the event we just ask that you wait until we get our edit and photos out first, just check with us and we'll let you know our timing. We're hoping everyone will respect that.

And yes, I'm hella busy getting things ready Smile We just finished the Airush BoomBox last night: Complete with an Extension!

Thanks Forest for all your hard work on this (and to all those 'behind the scenes' as I know lots are working to make this an even better event than last). Can't wait to come out to HR and watch...will pray for wind

You can park at the spit, walked out with a beach chair, supplies and watched the slider show up close.
