Nice pics as usual Bam.... I like Dano's grab. Looks so nonchalant, like he's going "Doo-de-do, lets just jump 15 feet up in the air and do a little grab, maybe spin around and check on what's happening downstream."

We need to get some Sauvies in the mags! Forget Hawaii! It's all about being down river of a superfund site baby!

Keep your fingers crossed that the east wind doesn't screw up all our fun tonight.

Awesome pics, but we're still not jealous! 4-6 ft glassy faces. 7 miles of downwinding and 12M-16M nectar wind here on the coast.

BOOOOO-Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

More on the way today! YEEEEEEEEEEE! Laughing

We know, and trust me that if I could have gotten to the coast last night or today... I would have definitely not been taking pictures at Sauvies...

dude,

check your histogram! you're blowing out your highlights. over exposure is a bad, bad thing in the digital world.

RGB color adjusted (brightness, contrast, and saturation) and then image quality is shot to hell with the crazy reduction required to put them onto this site! Histogram is nice and flat and the printer TIFF's look stellar...

Every screen makes em look different...

convert for RGB to sRGG for the web and the shoots will look better right there. RGB and the web = mutted colors. do a levels adjustment, bump up the saturation, adjust contrast, RGB to sRGB, resize and then unsharp mask. your done! photos will look much better.
good luck

Sweet, thanks for the tips... Just converted all the old Nikon FE2/F3 stuff over to Canon digital... Lots to learn...
