Ikite forcast:

Mild winds early. A afternoon westerly boost mainly for Near East and East. Moderate SSW winds for the north OR coast.

The weakened closed low that was slowly lifting from the northern CA coastline looks to lift across the Pacific Northwest Saturday as an open trough as it is drawn up into a stronger storm system that is slowly approaching from the Gulf of Alaska. In other words, the Gorge will see generally weak southerly flow as the stronger storm system nears. However, the weakened trough that looks to lift northwestward across the Gorge should bring enough of a boost to the westerly gradients to at least spawn some weak upper teens. Meanwhile, the Coast continues to see moderate, gusty S to SSW flow.

Oregon Coast: Moderate S winds in the morning, generally stronger early around Cape Blanco with some upper teens. However, winds becoming more uniform across the coast as winds become more SSW in the afternoon with upper teens likely.

Western GorgeWestern Gorge represents Jones Beach to Stevenson- Quiet morning. Jones Beach reaching low teens. Stevenson reaching mid teens.

CorridorCorridor represents Viento to Sandbar- Quiet conditions early. Afternoon westerlies reaching weak upper teens. Variably cloudy with isolated showers possibly limiting potential.

Near EastNear East represents Mosier to Doug's Beach- Quiet early. Westerlies building in the afternoon with mid to weak upper teens.

Eastern GorgeEastern Gorge represents Celilo to Port Kelley- Quiet early. Westerlies building into the upper teens.
