Starting to think maybe leaving at noon to race out to the coast for southerlies is a better call than waiting on the Gorge which ain't looking too good so far.

Only ridden southerlies on the southern coast though, anyone got a suggestion?

Seaside... to the north of town where the river is, there is cool inside pond depending on the tide... Don't worry about wave quality as it pretty much sucks everywhere on a south wind. But, you can head out from the "ponds" and whack a few closeout mushy piles...

Now I am thinking maybe west at Rooster... I have had luck there when its blowing strong SW in town, you get enough wind and current to make it on a 12m. Only problem is it usually rains a bit. Doppler is clear right now though...

This sucks! I am jonesin so bad for some kiting!!

Oceanside on South, Southwest wind can be nice as well. Stormwarning has a camera there too.

Rooster was glass, drove all the way to HR, 4mph east breeze... kicked around some rocks in the new parking lot, drove home. Ahh what a way to spend an afternoon. Confused

Driving that far and getting skunked sucks, but see what i was saying?? I'm done with school and the wind shut down....typical! Oh well, i think i read somewhere kiting with a hangover wasn't recomended, and right now I've got one thats almost worse than charging through those three finals yesterday. Oh sweet college life

you probably would've had better luck with the SW's on the coast. Let me know whenever you go out there and I can tell you some good spots to park/launch/etc

Maybe NW's Sunday? SB tomorrow?
