Kiting at/near Rockaway Beach?

I am heading to Rockaway Beach for a weekend in a few weeks, and was wondering if anyone has info on kiting options near there. Can you kite at Rockaway or is Manzanita or Pacific City the best bets? What about Nehalem or Tillamook Bays? Any good downwinder possibilities? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I fucked around at Rockaway about 3 weeks ago (for the first time), just on the south side of the jetty. It was ultra-light 11m from the south, but still rideable. If you're going to be staying at/near Rockaway, I'd stay there since even the drive to Manzo takes a few... Guess it depends on the wind.
