OT: Salmon by Cascade Locks / BOTG /Stevenson

Has anyone noticed if the fishermen are still selling salmon by Cascade Locks or BOTG/Stevenson? I need to get some salmon and a fresh catch would be sweet.

Dont know but I hear they are selling plenty of stolen boards!!!!

i saw the signs for fresh fish when I was out there yesterday. Truthfully, I can only recall a minority of times when they aren't out there fish mongering.

had an Indian pull a bait and switch on me last I bought fish at CL. Showed me a nice fresh fish, then filleted an old stinky one. Had to throw it away, over $20. Haven't been back since.

Overall I've never been stoked on the quality of fish the tribe sells, or the price, or the overall cleanliness, or the hassle of it being wrapped in an old plastic Safeway bag they emptied old beer cans out to wrap your fish in. The whole thing is weird and sketch to me but to each his own.

My fav fish market in Portland is at 3372 Southeast Powell Boulevard. They supply all top restaurants in Portland and have the real freshie goods for great prices. Teriyaki smoked salmon for $12 is an appetizer crowd pleaser I recommend to start with.

Thanks for the tip, Sella. I'll have to go check that place out sometime. The fish market I usually go to is the Pacific Northwest Best Fish Co. up in Ridgefield, WA.
