Another option is to keep an eye on ebay. Email the dude when he posts your board and describe it. Any nicks or markings--a scratched fin ect. Then offer him something reasonable (my case $100+6 pack). Sucks to have to buy your board 2x but cheaper than buying it from the store 2x....

Check with Bonneville dam. I've heard of some guys getting boards back this way... If it makes it to the dam, they'll pull it out of the screen I guess...
