Thu Jul 17, 2008 7:56 am Naish quiver |
|
|
I have four kites, 3 control bars, two harnesses, a board, and a pump for sale.
04' Naish v4 8 meter $100
04' Naish v4 10 meter $50
05' Naish boxer 12 meter (brand new) $150
05' Naish boxer 16 meter (used once) $150
All kites are in perfect working condition, no tears (the 10 meter has a professional LE repair that was done at Vuelo Sports in Puerto Rico). They are all about three years old. Very stable, medium to low aspect kites.
I have two dakine harnesses- one seat(used once) and one waist. Both come with spreader bars. $50 for seat/$30 for waist
I have three control bars- all made by Naish. One is a shift system bar with five lines(brand new) and the other two are basic four line set ups. If you buy a kite, I will throw one in....by itself $50 for shift/$30 for basic
I have one board- a litewave 169. a huge board that goes upwind with ease (I have used it for inland lakes). Fins and straps are perfect- no delamination $50
I have one pump made by Naish-$20
Everything is in perfect working condition. Make me an offer on any part or the whole thing...($750) I will pay shipping -very motivated to sell 509-220-0859
Note: These are older kites with very little de-power..... I prefer the feel of c-kites and these served me well through my learning progression. These kites may not be the best choice for someone who is learning the sport. Please be respectful of my post thank you

Beginner Setup? You got to be kidding me, this gear will make learning to kite harder.

Not to mention that has to be one of the shittiest boards around these days. Man, could you ever get upwind with that thing?

it's great to hear that this gear is so shitty. i have a board of the same make, and a very similar kite selection. i am by no means experienced enough to know what is good or not, but i am glad to know that newer gear will make things that much easier.
it's not what you ride, it's how you ride it.
if i lived near you i would probably take some of it from you.

Thanks Burton 420........aint that the truth!
I know you guys are trying to be watch dogs....but callin somebody's gear out as shit makes you look like shit
Monie's post earlier today....
"Actually, it was my beginner quiver, just two years ago. My friend also had the same set of kites as his beginner quiver around the same timeframe. Not only did we live, we didn't hurt anyone else, we learned to kite, and we had a blast. We were safe. Sure, if you've got thousands of dollars lying around, get the latest and greatest - but I don't. I just got my first bow kite, and I'm lovin' it - but I don't see that the safety difference is this huge thing like you're implying - the best safety mechanism is learning safe practices. I know you feel like you're providing the kiteboarding community some great public service by dissing my gear, but your opinion is biased, and I'm not trying to hide anything - so, yeah, you're being a jerk."
I completely agree

wow!...this sounds just like the hang gliding forums! always that guy who will tell you the older stuff is "garbage". Hmmmm odd thing is I see pilots getting flights on older wings that so many cannot touch on their new wings! From that...I come to kiteboarding now and I am stoked!
I have a late 80's glider that will kick ass over the new and supposedly better(way spendier!!!!)'comparisons. That taught me to take what the 'new stuff' peddlers say with one maybe two grains of salt. There are PLENTY of videos and riders who prove that the older gear works just fine. I watched guys KB the gorge in 2004 on '04 slingshot Fuels, and now I have one. Those of you who are dissing the old stuff...remember...YOU learned on it. Got a beef with how "hard" it was????...go fly a hang glider...no water to catch you. Babies!!!!
What is in your will, drive and intelligence to learn and do, is more important than what kite/year/model is over your head. I KNOW this to be true. Fortunately, SO did the owner/seller of this quiver.
So... 'KITE Me!'
