NOAA:
Saturday: Periods of snow. High near 25. Windy, with a southwest wind 11 to 14 mph increasing to between 27 and 30 mph. Winds could gust as high as 41 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%

Winds will get stronger thru-out the day. Gusty and snow flurries, lots of fresh snow. Mt. Ashland ski resort was closed today due to road closure Mad . We've been getting hit with cold front after cold front, But will continue as planned. Take care driving and remember to bring proper snow travel equip. (including your smallest kite)

Sol maybe you should change it to 140 flats the wind looks like it will be working there. it just seems safer than riding back country in white out

Periods of snow. High near 26. Light wind becoming south between 17 and 20 mph. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph.

I agree, The backcountry at Mt.Ashland will be hard to access, I'm worried about the road closure. plus the 140 flats has great terrian right next to the road, cant get much easier than that.

i will get on the location change pronto....

PostThu Jan 31, 08 8:12 pm    update: location change Reply with quote

note: I hate to change the location so close to the date, but the recent snow conditions make it near impossible to get access into Mt.Ashland's backside paradise.

it would be best to bring 2-3 kites, from 15m-8m. sorry for the inconvienhence Embarassed if you need a larger kite i can provide an extra.

SNOWDAZE WILL BE HELD AT THE GREAT MEADOWS SNOWPARK <click on the link for map
the noaa forecast:
