I want to get 22m lines for one of my bars (Naish), where does one purchase a set of new custom lines, or used if possible? |

I highly suggest saving the old lines. I use the stuff for camping, gardening, etc etc. Awesome stuff that doesn't have to end up in the landfill. |

Awesome, this was the only real idea I had initially. I still need buy a set of 24m lines in order to make that happen! |

Nak has it right, just make your own.
you can order a spool 100M spool of 360kg marlow kiteline race for 85 bucks at fishery supply
https://www.fisheriessupply.com/marlow-kiteline-race-99-360kg-blk-328-
i called them and special ordered black and blue, and made two sets of lines for less than the cost of one set retail. I really like the marlow line, it splices extremely easy, and is thin so it wraps on the bar well. 360kg is plenty strong for me.
there are many different lines out there, and many different sources, prices vary, so shop around.
i used macdonald brummel splices
https://www.animatedknots.com/mcdonald-brummel-splice-knot
i made a paper templete where to put each mark on the line that you see tape in the video, plus a mark 1/2 between the tape that will be the center of the loop, also and cut the end the same length for each, that way, every splice will have the same size loop, use the same amount of line, and
there are many ways to do the pre-stretching, but since i already had the stuff, i put one spliced loop on each end of the 100M piece, doubled over the line and put each loop on the same carabiner, put another carabiner on the end of the loop that creates, attached one end to a tree, the other to a come along with a crane scale attached to another tree, then loaded them up to 500 lbs (250 per line since it was doubled over) and held it at that load for 30 minutes retightening the come along as needed. Then marked the line at 22M and cut the already spliced ends at 22M + 1' for the other loop. Then spliced the ends of the rest of the line, marked 22M, cut at 22M+1'. Now just align my loop center mark on the templete to each 22M mark, transfer the marks to the line, and loop the other end. all lines prestretched to the same value, and the same length. |
