The last couple of weeks have been horrendous with regards to wind forecasts for Dougs / Rufus / Arlington. This includes both computer models as well as human forecasts.

It has been down right gusty and under powered compared to forecasts.

The Dalles has had a lot of smoke from fires. I am wondering if the two are related.

I wonder if the smoke is blocking the normal heating effect that generates low pressure out east.

Any experts want to weigh in on the subject?
