| My family is going to me tarts bay for several days. I know manzanita is not too far north, but I am wondering if anyone has done any kiting at betrays bay... |

WHAT? Where are you talking about? Netarts Bay by chance? |

| Yes, it should say "Netarts bay" although tarts bay also sounds interesting. |

| You're not allowed to kite there. My buddy and I got cited and nearly arrested for kiting there last weekend. State Troopers are on the watch. |

| are you kiting in the bay or the ocean? Where did you get hassled? I've kited there many times and no issues, but always at the bay entrance and out to the ocean. One of my favorite places to kite. |

Never heard of this and lived and kited there. What were you cited for and where exactly were you kiting? Happy Camp is near the mouth and Schooner's Beach is at the restaurant with the boat ramp.

| Maybe, but it is commercial oyster farms more than a preserve I'm pretty sure. The wind gets pretty bad down in there and it's shallow even at hi tide. |

Pun intended, but this guys claim of nearly getting arrested for kiting sounds fishy to me. More like he is trying to keep it a secret and scare people away. |
