Location Name: Los Barriles Baja California Sur Mexico East Cape
Best winds: November to March
Wind Conditions: 14-30 knots ( not on the same day the wind is really steady)
Water type: waves, high swells
Water Temp: In Oct and Nov kite in a bikini the rest of the season you will want a wetsuit
Nightlife: Loco Rico’s bar on the beach, Smokeys a pub in town
Local Tip  rent a car and explore this area of Mexico is really safe and has many little spots for you to discover
Describe this location: The most ideal beach conditions. A huge sandy beach that stretches on for miles and is not crowded! If you pick the right spot your entry and exit is also all sand. The water is really warm October and November then cools down in the Sea of Cortez, but is comfortable. The wind is also progressive with it being light at the beginning of the season then picks up to be very consistent range of 16-25. The waves this year have been moderate but most local riders have surf boards to practice wave riding. For beginners there are locations along the beach to get in and out of the water with minimal waves. This really is an ideal location with a huge beach that is still totally uncrowded and a town for the family or friends to hang out in if there is only a couple kiters in the group.

The beach is incredible the town is convenient with many wireless hotspots, a large grocery store, a couple banks, nice restaurants and more
