I thought ponds was an east wind spot. Does it work on a south? Is there a different pond you go to on a south wind? I'd like to go Sunday but with the rain and south wind I don't know if it's worth it.

Ponds is "doable" on south wind. I've only done it once and it was really gusty, and there were no nice buttery sections like there was on my east wind days out there. It wasn't a whole lot of fun... basically survival kiting.

As for yesterdays session, it was fun til I got rolled by a breaker and dropped my kite..."HELLO AIRTIME? I HAVE A KITE TO SEND YOU!"

Ya that sucked when your kite tore! Makes me think twice about letting my kite drop.
Ponds can be fun on a south wind. I have ridden it about 5 times in the last 4 month on a south wind. It gets gusty if there is any west in it. But a good south wind with no rain and it can be fun on shore conditions. Don't drop your kite much though, wind near water level is bad because of all the obsticles and trees. Keep it high.

It is a bummer man, seriously sorry. Hate to damage kites.

Keep at it and even big days because you can just downwind and stay where you want. Always makes you a better kiter.
