Hey,this is gonna be my first year snowkiting, I can snowboard pretty good but position of my bindings on my snowboard is different slightly then straps on my kiteboard, i mean the angles.
Do you guys change angle of your bindings for kiting or ride same way as regular snowboarding?

Depends how you ride.... Like Sol Flyer, I duck way out 15-20 degrees.
I like twisting my foot in my kiteboard foots straps so that when I'm riding my front foot is ducked forward in the direction I'm heading... so I do the same on the snow, I like to have my front foot leaning forward in the direction of travel.
Obviously both feet need to be centered and duck for a similar feel in either direction.

| I've always ridden centered 13', now I have a dedicated snowkite board will more degree help-improve my riding with the kite? The sickest snowkite bindings are the top line K-2 cinch bindings, They have a pull leash in the back that clamshells the straps down on top of your foot as well as regular straps; so they work better than flows and have normal straps with convertible toes. This binding design makes it nice because you can self launch your kite then step into your board, pull the clamshell closed and go! |

Ditto what PerryJ said. That style of bindings is my favorite and offers the most versatility.
K2 are available in the US, I stole a pair of APO bindings that are similar from Chasta a couple years back...(teach him to leave gear at my house... HA!)
They allow normal step and click in like any standard binding, but also rear entry (gotta love that when its offered) The flows only offer rear entry which can be useless when sitting at the top of s steep and sick couloir. You DO NOT want to stand toes side while loading into the bindings at that angle...sitting on your ass is so much safer and preferred.
Definitely need to use these style bindings if you get the chance... its the best of both worlds with zero compromise.
Sure wish I could find more and at a deal!!!
