Hood River waterfront users, please be aware that there still remain high e.coli (unhealthy) levels in the areas west of the event site and surrounding wells island/hook. Water activities in these areas should be avoided.
Signage will remain until water quality tests show safe enough levels for use.
If u launch from the event site be aware of where you are at when going upwind.
Hatch is up to you to decide if you want to take the risk.
No matter where you ride, remember to rinse off afterwards.

Yeah, my pappy took me in a backpack on his back for a spin on his Wing and foil setup.

I had so much fun slicing and dicing the swell by Wells Island I shat myself and had a blowout (again). Sorry for getting some in the water.

As Pepi said, a good rinse after one's time on the water does wonders.

Email update from CGW2 this morning;

Warning: Contaminated Water Warning is still in effect for the area just OUTSIDE The Hook launch and Wells Island. This warning is due to excessive levels of E. coli bacteria due to incomplete disinfection of water being released from the nearby water waste treatment plant and NOT due to Blue-Green Algae blooms. Hood River Waste Water Treatment Staff are testing water quality status daily. Updates can be found at: https://cityofhoodriver.gov/em_notifications/public-notice-wastewater-discharge-downstream-of-the-hook/
