Blowing across most of the Gorge. Patchy skies in HR, with some light breaking through the clouds...

Where, when are people riding today?

Nate, it's okay to miss one day of class a term. You'll be fine. Tucker's going to skip too. We really should go NOW! Wink

Haha, I know I know. You're talking to a guy who has shotgunned beers in the hallway during class just to prefunk before the pub crawl though...I just hate missing class. Besides, I'm skipping class tomorrow to go up to the mountain...gotta have priorities ya know Twisted Evil

Nah seriously I'll go kiting tomorrow if it's good. I'm down. I know how to party...

Nate,
Good call bro. I survived on the belief of going to class. You pay a lot of money for time with your instructors.. take advantage of it. Plus exams are usually based more on what they tell you in class, than what is in the book.

I found it was always easier (and less time/less work) to just go to class and get the material than it was to try and catch up and learn it on your own afterwards.

If you could learn it all from the book, on your own, it wouldn't have been worth it to go to school, you would have just bought the book...

Good advice.. but a bummer though, as the sun just broke through and I see blue skies and wind all over...

For me it really depends on meetings. I work for a large software company and I'm part of a group based just outside London. All my coworkers are GMT (+7 hours from PDT) so occasionally I can split my day based on the fact that they're all chilling at home by 11AM PDT so long as I get up at 6 AM.

My day is usually loaded with meetings. Sad I get to go kite in England every few months though!

Not only do you have to worry about leaving work early, but also about your non-kiter girlfriend/wife that nags about you not working in the back yard.....I guess it's getting to be that time of year when you start thinking about what to tell 'em.....when the wind starts to blow....

private practice. only schedule patients and evals up to 1pm. go kiting and get home to wife and kids by dinnertime. solves all probs (ha, almost). get work in, kiting in, and family time in.

works great for weekdays. bummer is don't get many extended sesh's on weekends... until my boys get bigger!!

the guy has walked up almost to the west end of the event site and looks knee deep... is it possible that the sand is shifting west?
