I wanted to offer up a feel good story about a lost board.
I lost my board at Sauvies around April 23rd. It was right in the path of a ship, and I thought it became a sacrifice to the shipping gods.
Some guy in Woodland called me July 6th, and said he found a board he thought was mine.
Sure enough, I picked it up from this kind river user on Saturday on my way out to Jones. He had found it in a thicket on some unknown island in the middle of the Columbia.
It's top sheet is faded a bit, but other than that it's in great condition!
It turns out, this roughly 70 year old man did his research to find out what he had found and had been educating himself on kiteboarding. He refused any reward, saying "if you will be happy to have it back, then that's reward enough for me." |

Oh great - taking that board back from the wind gods means that the wind will shut off now! Quick - we need to come up with another offer to the gods. Any ideas??????????  |
