Waking up to 3 inches in Hood River, I figured there must be more up high. So I checked out the Dalles Mtn Ranch and there was only 3 inches on top of Rock and grass. Not enough! The Sandbar had 1-4 inches with sand showing so that wasn't much of an option either. So up up to the Honey Hole at 2200 feet in the East hills of Hood River, and sure enough the East wind was blowing for a fun lightwind session. It was squirly as usual but still fun considering it was the first session of the year. Lets hope for more snow later in the week.

I'm glad you guys had fun!
We decided to let you guys have it all to yourselves this time and scored a super fun session on some picnic tables at the park.
If we get more snow later in the week, I want to try to hit it for sure.
Fingers crossed for Dalles Mt.
When entering an unknown honey hole, always use proper protection! 
seriously though, I pulled a big stretch of barbed wire off of Jake's kite
Did anybody see the kooks... err cooks... on the news?
Joby was greasin' it up for the news camera.

1st snowkite sess of the year!! lots of fun.... light and up and down, but wtf..?
1st time at the honeyhole... thanks for the info guys!
totally worth it.. next time you guys need to pump up!
the jibs and rails will still be there...
sick set up in the park with double winches though...

awesome !!! the Honey Hole and the Park set up !!! Its early in the season and everyone is stoked and having fun 
cool shots Stringer ! yea I dint see it on there either Talked to Joby last night and herd that it might be on there but they didnt air it maybe its on their website tho? I havent checked, who was it agian channel 8?
glad someones there to take pics keep em coming , I have to live vicariously through yall this winter , arggg dam knee

It was awesome to see everyone sessioning the first storm of the year. I heard of a crew hitting Convoy Lake up by Trout lake and Cory Roesler rode with his son at the radio tower in the east hills. Sessions everywhere. Everyone needs to keep searching and spreading the wealth.
Did anyone get some today? I don't think the snow is going anywhere anytime soon.

good times were had by one and all
finally snowkited yesterday at the marina soccer field
underpowered on a 12 but made a few tacs
could see it being fun with some terrain or a park set up
i didnt like chasing the wind, so i'll probly stick to the winch/park set up, unless the wind and snow and location is money
